Misbourne Valley by Claus Larsen
This view of the Misbourne Valley can be seen from the top of Great Missenden, home of Roald Dahl. At the bottom of the hill is The Black Horse pub and The Black Horse Ballooning Club, it’s a stunning sight on a summer’s evening seeing dozens of hot air balloons taking off.
Available in two sizes, A2 or A3
Artist profile
Claus is based in Buckinghamshire, where he has lived for the last 25 years, drawing upon its scenic charm as an essential source of inspiration for his vivid landscapes. Using a rich tapestry of colours, Claus reinterprets the beauty of his local countryside, transforming the familiar into something strikingly new.
Born and raised in Denmark, there is no doubt that the country’s scenic fjords and rugged coastlines have influenced Claus’s strong affinity for the sea, a connection that is evident in the artist’s dynamic seascapes.
Claus has always been fascinated by the interplay of light and colour and how these elements profoundly influence our emotions, altering the way we perceive the world around us.
Through his paintings, he aims to bring a touch of joy to people’s lives, giving them a reason to smile on a grey Wednesday morning.
