We're thrilled to welcome Juliet Stockton to our collection of contemporary artists here at Euphoric Art Collections. Her dynamic portraits burst with energy and nostalgia, offering our customers a chance to own pieces that celebrate iconic moments in pop culture through an extraordinary artistic lens.
What drew us to Juliet's work was her ability to capture not just the likeness of her subjects, but their very essence. Her paintings pulse with life, each brushstroke telling a story that resonates with viewers on both personal and universal levels. Despite only being in the art world for a few years, she has already developed a unique style for her original pieces that will undoubtedly bode well for future appreciation.
From Corporate Life to Creative Success: Juliet Stockton’s Unique Artistic Journey
Sometimes, the most interesting artistic journeys don't follow a straight path. After 25 years in corporate HR, Juliet took a leap of faith in 2021 to pursue her true calling as an artist. Though offered a place at art college in 1992, she initially chose the corporate world – but art never left her heart. At age 40, she returned to her first love, teaching herself to paint and developing the vibrant style that's now her trademark.
Her childhood in Papua New Guinea has proven particularly influential, with the tropical vibrancy of the region infusing every canvas she creates. These early experiences with rich, bold colours combine beautifully with her love of pop culture and fashion history. Working from her Wirral studio, often accompanied by her snoozing labrador Cassie, Juliet has built an impressive portfolio that's catching attention worldwide.
This rapid rise has led to some remarkable achievements. She's now the resident artist for the cast of the original 1978 Grease movie, with her tribute painting of Olivia Newton-John set to hang in the ONJ Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne. Her work has been featured on BBC Radio, in Cheshire Life, and in The West Australian, while her portraits have caught the eye of celebrity collectors, including a recent commission for Gino D'Acampo.
The Magic Behind the Canvas: The Distinctive Style of Juliet Stockton
Juliet's distinctive style combines bold, energetic brushwork with vibrant acrylics to create portraits that practically leap off the canvas. She approaches each piece with a determination to capture not just a likeness, but a moment in time – whether that's the electric atmosphere of an ABBA performance or the mystique of Prince at his peak.
Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, she builds her paintings through layers of bold colour and dynamic brush strokes. Her technique allows her to capture both the physical presence and the emotional essence of her subjects. You'll notice how she uses contrasting colours to create depth and movement, while her confident brushwork adds an energy that makes each piece feel alive.
Juliet Stockton Originals Available at Euphoric Art Collections
We're excited to showcase several stunning original pieces from Juliet. Our favourites include "Friday Nights and The Nights Are Low", which presents Agnetha and Frida back-to-back, symbolising their close bond while celebrating their individuality.
Through neon pinks, blues, and greens, Juliet captures the magnetic stage presence that made ABBA a global phenomenon. The composition itself speaks to the chemistry between the singers, while the vibrant colour palette evokes the era's explosive energy.
Another pick from us is "KISS", which shows Prince in his element, surrounded by his signature purple rain backdrop. This piece exemplifies Juliet's ability to capture iconic moments – Prince's mesmerising gaze draws you in, while the exuberant yellows contrast beautifully with the focal point's bright pink lips to create a portrait that radiates the same charisma as the artist himself.
But all of our original artworks from Juliet are equally deserving of praise, and we have fabulous pieces depicting Marilyn Monroe, Billie Holiday, and Frenchie from Grease, to name just a few of our other exclusive originals.
